Oryx Energies is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution businesses in South Africa of BP and Masana Petroleum Solutions in which BP had a 45% stake. The transaction was first announced on 20 March, 2013.
The acquisition gives Oryx Energies a leading position in the South African LPG market and strengthens its status as a key LPG player across Southern Africa. The company has been promoting LPG for 15 years as a cleaner, more affordable and ecological energy alternative to firewood, charcoal and kerosene, and is making significant investments in the sector across sub-Saharan Africa.
